Miguel Espinosa "Armillita"


Miguel Espinosa Mendez, Fermín Espinosa's youngest son, was born in Aguascalientes, in September 19, 1958. Born into one of the greates taurine families in Mexico, he decided to follow his father steps.

He made his debut like a novillero in September 16, 1976, in Jiquilpan, Michoacan. He fought twenty novilladas and triumphed in almost all. Then, he went to Spain in 1977. He made his debut in Barcelona. In that ocation, he fought five novilladas consecutively. After that, he fought at La Maestranza de Sevilla, making an impression on everybody

He returned to Mexico and received the alternativa in November 26, 1977, in Santa María de Queretaro. He confirmed the alternativa at Plaza Mexico in February 18, 1979. Bulls were from Jaral de Peñas's ranch. The godfather was Mariano Ramos, and the witness was Pedro Gutiérrez Moya "El Capea". He has fought more than one thousand bullfights, getting a lot of triumphs. One of the best triumphs at Plaza Mexico was in March 26, 1995. In that ocation he was awarded the tail of "Vidriero", a bull from Santiago's ranch.

He is an artist, but he is a very controvertial bullfighter too. That is because he has a conformist actitud. But his place at the top of Mexican bullfighting doesn't have disscution.

He has fought at Colombia, Venezuela, Equator, Peru and Spain.
